Cut Grades Available at Amberley West

At Amberley West, we stress that the most important attribute of your diamond is the quality of its cut. So that you can make an informed decision. To make the selection of your diamond easier, most of our diamonds come with either GIA or AGSL cut grades. Currently only round diamonds are capable of receiving a cut grade, as their are no clear standards for Fancy Shapes yet established. Our grading system is as follows:

• SOLENZA: Solenza is our premium Round Brilliant diamond, representing less than 1% of all diamonds produced worldwide. SOLENZA diamonds exhibit a pattern of eight perfect arrows when viewed through the table, and eight perfect hearts when viewed through the pavilion. This highly coveted pattern is your proof that the facets and angles in the diamond are so precisely aligned that they produce perfect optical symmetry.
• Ideal: Representing the top 2% of all Round Brilliant diamonds in the world, our Ideal cut diamonds have the same proportional excellence as our SOLENZA diamonds, but without the Hearts and Arrow pattern.
• Very Good: The proportions on these diamonds is exceptional, and they are a great choice for those looking for a well cut diamond at a slightly less expensive price. Diamond in this grade will have proportions slightly outside of the Excellent range
• Good: This grade is a great choice for those looking to maximize size, but still want a bright diamond.
• Fair: The lease expensive of our cut grades, Fair diamonds are of average proportions and lesser brilliance then the other grades.
