Diamond Clarity
The fewer inclusions in the diamond the more rare and
valuable it is. Most diamonds VS2 and higher, are "eye clean",
having imperfections which are not visible with the naked eye
without the aid of magnification.
Diamonds SI1-SI2 can be eye clean, but each individual
diamond is different. Diamonds of I1-I2 clarity always have
clearly visible imperfections.
Amberley West does not carry diamonds below SI1 in clarity.
Since many imperfections are not visible when worn, you do
not need to purchase an extremely high clarity grade to have
a beautiful diamond.

Inclusions are easily visible with a 10x loupe or gem scope. Certain imperfections are easily visible without the aid of a magnifier, especially in SI2 clarity. This is the most popular clarity grade in North America.
